New Patio Heaters Emit Zero CO2
Ever since the first release of patio heater, some people have always argued against them. The biggest reason for complaining about them is that they damage the environment due to the way the heat is generated. Other complaints are that they waste too much heat and that they are generally a waste of energy.
The biggest complaint that they damage the environment is true. The way a normal patio heater generates heat is by burning gas. As with almost everything that burns, one of the products is carbon dioxide, which damages the o-zone layer.
The second argument against them, that they waste a huge amount of heat, is also true. Although they are designed with a mushroom shape lid so that heat is reflected to the ground, rather than rising, a large amount of heat is still waste.
However, with all that in mind, a heating company called Chillchaser has developed some brand new patio heaters that look to solve all of the above issues.
Instead of using the standard gas powered method of generating the heat, Chillchaser has developed a brand new way. They use carbon fibre rods which are able to generate heat. The advantage of using carbon fibre heating is that it emits absolutely no CO2 gas. You may think that because no CO2 is emitted, they have no effect on the environment, however, they do slightly. Because it doesn't use gas, it does need electricity to power it, however, the energy needed to power the carbon rods still means the new patio heaters cut emissions by 50%.
This new heating method also combat the second biggest complaint that they waste alot of heat. Carbon fibre heating is able to generate heat in a more focused method which means less heat is wasted.
The last advantage that Chillchaser patio heaters have is that they are built with an infrared sensor. The sensor is able to detect movement around it and turn the heater off when no movement is detected. This great features ensures that the heater is off when no one is using it, which means less damage is caused to the environment.
From the looks of these new patio heaters, Chillchaser have managed to revolutionse patio heaters and many eco-friendly people won't be able to complain about these heaters. I suppose that the only complain that there would be is that there is no need for patio heaters in the first place, which Chillchaser can't solve.
I would love to see what Chillchaser could do with a standardhome dehumidifier; maybe build in a home weather station to it, that would solve two problems in one.
